Nice original collection of Civil War era gaming pieces in a Riker's display case. Examples of the most common gaming items soldiers were known to use during down time between engagements. Display measures 12" x 16". 1865 playing cards produced by the De La Rue Company of London and includes the face card. A variety of ox bone, hand carved and color died gaming chips. Pair of hand carved ox bone dice. Group of colored clay marbles. 1 Mother of pearl gaming chip. 2 wood churned chess pieces (one of each color). 2 wood churned checker pieces (one color each).
