CDV attributed to be Martin Hardin, Colonel of 12th Pa. Reserves, who later lost his left arm at Mine Run. In this bust view he wears a coat with the button grouping of a Brig. So the image would have been taken after his promotion to that rank in July 1864. Nice Alexander Gardner backmark and revenue stamp.
