THIS FLAG HAS AN UNUSUAL STAR PATTERN OF 7-7-8-7-7. Statehood was official in October, 1864, and the star was officially added on July 4, 1865. This flag lasted only 2 years until July 4, 1867, when Nebraska was admitted to the Union. Horstman, Philadelphia stenciled on the head of the flag and a name is written just below the stencil 8 Feet Long. Some overall wear and a period repair on first white stripe at the top, close to the upper corner.
Also a hole punched on the head close to the bottom grommet. Please look to posted photos for more information.
