ORIGINAL CIVIL WAR OFFICER GAUNTLETS, Circa 1860-65
AIR OF CIVIL WAR ERA OFFICER'S GAUNTLETS, Circa 1860-65. These gauntlets could have been carried by either a Union of Confederate officer. The leather is very supple with most wear, as to be expected, on the inside of the palm and fingers. Even so, that wear is light and does not weaken the gauntlets. All the seams are tight and strong. Approximately, one inch of the cuff trim (decorative) is loose on the left gauntlet -- it does not affect the integrity of the gauntlets and would be easy to fix if wanted. The inside of the gauntlets is excellent and the hand sewn interior padding is evident. The gauntlets are 100% original and would be a great addition to any Civil War collection and display. Please see my other Civil War auctions. The item "ORIGINAL CIVIL WAR OFFICER GAUNTLETS, Circa 1860-65" is in sale since Saturday, February 9, 2019.
