Original Civil War Manuscript MS Lyrics Battle of Cedar Creek October 19, 1864. This is an unusual estate found original Civil War era manuscript with hand written lyrics to a ballad titled Battle of Cedar Creek Oct.

With only the first page of the lyrics, this paper features five stanzas and the chorus. It was written by C. Savage from the 8th Indiana Regiment. The Battle of Cedar Creek was the culminating battle of the Valley Campaigns of 1864. Jubal Early launched a surprise attack against the encamped army of Union Maj.
