There is no maker mark that I can find on compass. It comes with the original case. What makes this compass so unique is that is almost identical to the one that John Wilkes Booth owned and carried with him after he killed President Abraham Lincoln and tried to escape D. The only difference between this compass and the one on display on the Ford's website is that this one is a little fancier and in better condition. It is 1 5/8 diameter.
The case is 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" x 3/4. Quite a rare piece and this is the only one I have encountered in a private collection. Because of the rarity of this item and similarity to the infamous one it does have a market starting price. And honestly I don't mind having this one around for awhile.
Please review the photos and do a little research on your own to see how remarkable and rare this piece is.
