On offer here is an antique, ORIGINAL , Civil War era Purple print, PHILADELPHIA Shaving Cream jar or "pot lid" as they are commonly referred to. This is an "early", flat-top piece which dates to between early 1850's through 1860's.... Right in the period of America's Civil War.
The lid measures 3 1/8 in diameter. (see comparison with a regular can of Coke in last pic).
